A LITTLE GIRLFRIEND :)

Graeme met a little cougar over at his Papa and Grammy's house this past weekend. Lily is 8 months old and they seemed to enjoy each other. They were taking turns babbling back and forth to one another, though Graeme occasionally was distracted my Roxi (dog's are his new obsession). Graeme even held her hand for a bit but I was too slow to grab the camera. Lily is also a little peanut so they were a perfect pair.

While there, he got to meet his great aunt and uncle, Rhonda and Mitch who were visiting from Florida.

He really enjoyed being "thrown" in the air by Mitch!

I CAN SIT!

Graeme has been practicing sitting, with the support of a boppy for a few weeks. Every once in a while I tried sitting him without the boppy but he would flop over pretty quickly. Yesterday we tried again and to my surprise he did a great job though he looked a little confused/scared. See the progression below. The first picture is from Monday at daycare and the next 3 are him attempting to sit at home on Tuesday.

Father's Day Weekend

We took Graeme for his first visit to his grandparent's in Long Island for Father's Day weekend and he had a blast! He had his first ferry ride and first swim in the pool. We were very impressed that he only cried about 20 minutes out of the 14 hour round trip. While we were there, we celebrated Aunt Lea and Uncle Ben's engagement and Graeme got lot's of attention. Here are a few pictures of him enjoying his extended family, the beautiful weather, and of course, his dad!

5 months old

Graeme turned 5 months old today and it was my last day of school! Hopefully with me home more, Graeme will stop his eating strike and pack on the pounds. He is starting to roll over a lot more frequently and can easily go back to front or front to back. He likes to roll off his mat but can't seem to figure out how to get back on to it. Lately he's become very interested in Brandi as you can see below. Daycare also reports that he laughs when the dog walks by :)

Memorial Day Weekend Fun

We had out first weekend away with Graeme and he did incredibly well adjusting to all the change. We left Friday evening for a 2 1/2 hour trek to Otis to celebrate his Great Nannie's 80th birthday and he slept most of the way there. I did have to maneuver myself over the seat to feed him some sweet potatoes and a bottle half way through but he otherwise was content.

We spent the majority of the weekend in Otis visiting with family. We spent time helping get the outside of the house in order for Aunt Jamie's shower and for the season in general. Graeme got to dip his toes in the water (not something he liked) .

Sunday he also got to meet his "Auntie" Mer Mer for the first time. They hit it off immediately.

Yum!

Graeme is getting the hang of eating...he loves his sweet potatoes! Inevitably he needs a bath when he's done. He is also "drinking" from a sippy cup. When I went to get it, all they had at 3 stores is pink but I think he pulls it off. Here are a few photo's from this past week.

First Food

Graeme went for his 4 month well check today and weighed 10lbs 3oz and was 24 1/2 in long. The doctor feels like he really needs to fatten up since he is off the charts for weight and in the 5% for height so he gave said it was time to add in some solids. I wasn't too keen on the idea since I had hoped to continue to nurse only until he was 6 months but the alternative was formula so, solids it is! We went out and got some brown rice cereal and avocado to mash up. We're also ordering a baby food maker which will steam and puree fresh veggies and fruits. Here he is trying his first food.
