It looks like Brandi no longer hates Graeme :)

Baby Ergo does the trick

Graeme has been really fussy lately after eating. It seems like his reflux is getting worse or the medication is wearing off. All that seems to help is holding him so I decided to "wear" him on a walk since it is so beautiful out today. We pulled out the Ergo, got bundled up, and headed out. Within a few minutes Graeme was asleep and Brandi and I got some exercise and fresh air. I think we both love this carrier!

Bundled and ready to go.
And the end result...

Grandparents

Since Graeme has been born, there have been quite a few visits (and even more calls) from grandparents and great-grandparents. He is lucky to have so many of them in his life.

Will you be my Valentine?

Graeme got his first Valentine's Day cards, and mail for that matter, from his Grandma and Grandpa Loveland and Uncle Ben and Aunt Lea. His Grammy Frechette also got him a very cute little Valentine's Day outfit which he sported for the day. He continues to bring us love every day!

"I found my thumb!"

Not quite "friends"

Brandi and Graeme are still trying to figure each other out as evidenced by the below pictures.
Brandi has been good not to touch any of the baby toys but she has found herself a new bed :) That's OK, I think it's best Graeme learns to share early.

Leader of the Pack

Brandi and Graeme have not really become fast friends, most likely because Brandi finds no use for someone who isn't able to throw a toy! Today, however, she was very anxious to come for a walk with us. It was a gorgeous day (35 and sunny) so I thought it would be nice to take Graeme for his first walk and get out of the house. I am sure we will be cooped up the next few days as the snow is heading our way. After getting Graeme all bundled up, I got him in the stroller and gave Brandi the go ahead to start walking. In typical alpha fashion, Brandi led the whole way; she looked like she was leading a sled.

Toys?

Now that Graeme is staying awake for longer stretches, we decided to pull out some of his toys for him to "play" with. Apparently the bouncy seat wasn't so exciting to him as he first cried and then fell asleep while in the seat. He was a little more interested in the play gym, though he really can't interact with it just yet (he did reach a few times with his left hand for one of the toys). He did seem to put on a serious face to figure out what it was all about. We will try again using the play mat today for some tummy time, which up to this point, he has only done on daddy's chest.

Photo Shoot

We are quickly realizing that newborns grow SO fast, Graeme already has lost many of his newborn features and has almost gained a pound. Knowing there was very little time to capture all of these little intricacies, we brought him to have newborn pictures taken last week. In typical Graeme fashion, he slept through the majority of the shoot but we got a few with his eyes open. The pictures just came in and they are adorable. We can't wait to frame them and get them on the wall.

Proud Dad

Justin is absolutely smitten with his little "Graemmy Poo" (not sure I want that nickname to stick!). Dad's definitely do things a little differently than moms, but he seems to have gotten into his own routine with the little man. This past week he gave him his first bath, Graeme got his first bottle, and is really taking pride in his folding of the cloth diapers. They really seem to enjoy their time relaxing on the couch together each night as well. I'll be thrilled if Graeme inherits some of his dads laid back qualities.
