Memorial Day Weekend Fun

We had out first weekend away with Graeme and he did incredibly well adjusting to all the change. We left Friday evening for a 2 1/2 hour trek to Otis to celebrate his Great Nannie's 80th birthday and he slept most of the way there. I did have to maneuver myself over the seat to feed him some sweet potatoes and a bottle half way through but he otherwise was content.

We spent the majority of the weekend in Otis visiting with family. We spent time helping get the outside of the house in order for Aunt Jamie's shower and for the season in general. Graeme got to dip his toes in the water (not something he liked) .

Sunday he also got to meet his "Auntie" Mer Mer for the first time. They hit it off immediately.

Graeme is getting the hang of eating...he loves his sweet potatoes! Inevitably he needs a bath when he's done. He is also "drinking" from a sippy cup. When I went to get it, all they had at 3 stores is pink but I think he pulls it off. Here are a few photo's from this past week.

First Food

Graeme went for his 4 month well check today and weighed 10lbs 3oz and was 24 1/2 in long. The doctor feels like he really needs to fatten up since he is off the charts for weight and in the 5% for height so he gave said it was time to add in some solids. I wasn't too keen on the idea since I had hoped to continue to nurse only until he was 6 months but the alternative was formula so, solids it is! We went out and got some brown rice cereal and avocado to mash up. We're also ordering a baby food maker which will steam and puree fresh veggies and fruits. Here he is trying his first food.

4 Months Old!

I can't believe how fast the last four months have gone by! Graeme is changing so much, except for in size :) He can sit up with support from the boppy pillow and keeps trying to pull himself forward when he's in his car seat to see what is going on. Some of his favorite things include his Jumparoo, especially the toucan, his elephant, and his hands!

 

He Rolls!!!

Graeme rolled over last night for the first time and we caught it on video. Today he rolled from front to back and back to front while Staci was babysitting. Hopefully I can get a better quality video soon.

Mother's Day

We have had a great Mother's Day weekend, though I must say that every day is kind of like Mother's Day since Graeme has arrived. We had dinner at Aunt Sarah's house on Saturday where Graeme was the center of attention (as always). Graeme and Justin got me a Flip for Mother's Day and I just can't wait to start recording the little guy reach different milestones. It has been a much needed, relaxing weekend. Another great gift...Brandi is warming up to Graeme!

Working Out

   I decided to trade the gym in for a Baby Jogger because I just couldn't bring myself to leave Graeme at daycare while I went to the gym...OK, it doesn't take to much to keep me from the gym :) I found a Baby Jogger on Craigslist and figured we would give that a try so I got him dressed in his SPF 50+ clothing and off we went. When we got home he practiced some "sit ups" by using his core to pull himself up off my legs. I can't believe how strong he is getting.    

Another Wonderful Weekend

With the beautiful weather, we packed up the baby gear and headed to Newburyport Saturday to enjoy the day.   We spent some time in the shops and walking around by the harbor and ended the day with a late lunch at Michaels Harborside. Graeme was amazing all day, even after having to wait 50 minute for a seat outside... he really seems to love being outside. We had some friends over Sunday for a cookout and Graeme was definitely doted on. He has started to really enjoy tummy time as well as you can see. All the gorgeous weather and attention has him tuckered out. If only the weekends lasted a little longer!

   

It's a Girl...

Cousin that is! Graeme got to hear the news via Skype last night and is very excited to meet Lily in a few months. Here is the happy boy wishing Aunt Jamie and Uncle Jason congratulations.
